ESC Officials Application
Request a secure email link to apply or renew. Current officials must use the email that the ESC has on file so we can recognize their existing record.
The application process is required each year and includes verification of industry activity and completion of the ESC Officials Exercise with interactive testing. Once credentials have been submitted and a score of 80% is achieved on the Officials Exercise, the ESC will issue the certification and the NASO $6 million officials liability insurance.
What happens after you apply?
For judge or steward certification, complete your application and payment. After the ESC verifies your payment, we will email your secure exam link. Check your inbox as well as your spam or junk folder.
Judges have one hour to complete 25 questions in one sitting, while stewards have two hours in one sitting. You have five days to start using the emailed link. Opening the instructions does not start your timed exam; choosing "Start Exam" does.
After you pass and the required application checks are complete, the ESC Officials Council will review your certification. The ESC will arrange insurance enrollment after certification approval.
Show Commissioners who officiate multiple ESC shows or at any show with more than 100 entries must complete the ESC Commissioner overview, and may purchase NASO insurance.
