Tamara Tucker, Attorney
Ms. Tucker grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia and attended Mary Washington College. Following college graduation, she went on to law school at the University of South Carolina, graduating in 1994 as a member of the Order of the Cap and Gown.
Ms. Tucker focuses her practice on appellate law, business litigation, and equine law. Ms. Tucker has authored numerous appellate briefs on topics ranging from personal jurisdiction to the doctrine of res ipsa loquitur. She has represented plaintiffs and defendants in dozens of cases involving contract disputes and business torts, including fraud, tortious interference, and business conspiracy. And because of her lifelong involvement with show horses, Ms. Tucker is also well known for her niche practice in the equine industry representing trainers and owners of performance horses in various types of matters.
Ms. Tucker has extensive litigation experience and has represented clients in: the Supreme Court of Virginia; the United States District Courts for both the Eastern District of Virginia and the Western District of Virginia; Virginia state trial courts including Fairfax, Loudoun, City of Alexandria, Clarke, Fauquier, Prince William, Stafford, Spotsylvania, City of Fredericksburg, Caroline, King George, Essex, Lancaster, Westmoreland, City of Richmond, Hanover, Henrico, Williamsburg/James City County, Norfolk, Suffolk, Louisa, Goochland, Powhatan, Chesterfield, Albemarle, Greene, Orange, Madison, Culpeper, Fluvanna, Montgomery, Shenandoah, City of Lynchburg, Pittsylvania, and Washington; in administrative matters before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Virginia Employment Commission, and the United States Equestrian Federation; in AAA arbitration matters in New Jersey, California, and South Carolina; and in the state trial courts of South Carolina, Maryland, Alabama, Florida, Delaware, and North Carolina.
