Drug Therapies – Most Commonly Used
Back to Administration Guidelines
A quick reference guide to the most commonly used medications is provided below. Many of these medications do not require an ESC Medical Report when used as directed. ESC has established therapy exceptions to withdrawal times for several of the therapies listed below. Any medication with a withdrawal time of 24 hours or greater requires a veterinarian’s diagnosis of illness or injury, unless using an approved mild sedative for ship/clip safety purposes.
When showing in the states of California or Florida, medication forms are required at ALL TIMES for EVERY THERAPY and must include a veterinarian’s diagnosis.
A comprehensive list of over 1,200 CONTROLLED MEDICATIONS includes guidelines for the commonly used medications listed below, medications for veterinarian use only, and substances that are BANNED altogether.
