Equine Sports Council Adds Scott Matton to Advisory Board

Scott Matton of Knollwood Farm in Heartland, WI has joined the Equine Sports Council Advisory Board.  Scott has previously served on the American Saddlebred Horse Association, American Saddlebred Registry and United Professional Horseman’s Association boards for many, many years.  He is the author of the Championship designation program (CH status) for Equitation horses for ASR. He and his wife, Carol, operate one of the largest American Saddlebred stables and riding lesson programs in the country, teaching 250-550 riding lessons a week, and turning out top riders year after year.

“We are thrilled to have Scott join our team,” said founding board member Jackie Hale.  “He brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise from his years of service to the ASB industry, and he is a very well respected member of our show horse community.”  One of his first orders of business will be to develop the Equitation Division rules for ESC.

“I’m looking forward to working with ESC as an Advisor,” Scott said.  “This is an important new avenue to help horse shows, and to protect and support the Saddle Seat industry.”
