Newmarket Equestrian Joins ESC Network & Hunter Jumper Events Begin Saturday
Saturday May 11, 2024 at the Commonwealth Park in Culpeper, Virginia a series of two Hunter Jumper shows kicks off that includes classes for Hunters, Jumpers, Jumper mini prix, Hunter Derby and Field Hunter division for Fox Hunters. Class prizes include leather halters, lead shanks and Dover Saddlery Gift Cards all made possible through sponsors of the shows. In October a second show series takes place where high point awards will be given based on winnings from the May and October events. NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction Narrows Venue Selection
The NYSSA Committee has narrowed it’s selection of venues down to two possible locations for the 2021 live NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction. The del Lago Casino in Waterloo, NY and the Morgan Farm at West Point Military Academy in West Point, NY have been selected as venue finalists. The del Lago Casino offers a first class ball room, hotel and entertainment all in one location. While the new Saint Equestrian Center at West Point Military academy offers a display of rich history in equestrian sports. This according to Marion Gaigal, Chair of the NYSSA Committee. Minnesota’s Octoberfest Horse Show to Receive Marketing Grant from Equine Sports Council
The Minnesota Octoberfest managed by Bill and Wendy Couch is the latest horse show to join the growing network of Equine Sports Council, a non-Olympic horse show governing organization. By joining the ESC Network, the Octoberfest show will receive a marketing grant in 2021 based on the number of horse show entries in 2020. ESC to Host Online Bidding for the NY Morgan Stallion Service Auction
Equine Sports Council will host online bidding for the 2021 New York Morgan Stallion Service Auction (NYSSA) beginning Sunday, January 17, 2021. For decades now, every year in January dozens of breedings to World Champion Morgan Stallions are auctioned at NYSSA with the proceeds going to the class purse at the New York Morgan Regional Championship horse show. The offspring from these stallions then receive thousands of dollars in prize money when winning their classes at the NY Morgan horse show held each September. The Monarch National Championship
The Monarch Horse Show Network consists of nearly 100 participating equine events across the United States. From Minnesota to California, horse show managers have signed up their shows to be a part of the Monarch Show Series Network so that they qualify for the Monarch National Championship in October. Southern Saddlebred Spring Fling Gets Green Light from the State of TN
On May 22, the Governor of Tennessee issued an executive order allowing for Large Venues to operate at 50% capacity while implementing social distancing measures between groups. This green light has paved the way for an American Saddlebred horse show to be held in Shelbyville, TN, June 17-20. Jackie and James Hale, show co-chairs, have been in talks with the Calsonic Arena since April to relocate the Southern Saddlebred Spring Fling to this venue, pending the State’s reopening plans. Southern Saddlebred Spring Fling joins ESC
April 22-25 will mark the 9th year for Southern Saddlebred horse shows and Spring Fling will be the organization’s 17th competition at the TN Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, TN. The Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association joins the ESC Network of Horse Shows
Equine Sports Council is very honored to have the Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association (IASPHA) join our horse show network. IASPHA started in 1973 with one pleasure horse show, and now hosts three shows with multiple affiliated horse shows that all earn credits towards end of year Champion and Reserve high point awards. For over 40 years IASPHA has been very successful in realizing its goals, and is one of the largest American Saddlebred charter clubs in the nation with a very active membership. The Monarch National Championship joins the ESC Network, with 50+ Shows Offering Qualifying Classes
Over 50+ shows have joined the Monarch Series to date. Equine Sports Council’s mission – to provide rules, standards, support and promotion for horse shows across the country – closely mirrors the Monarch mission and we are thrilled that their National Championship has joined the ESC Network. In 2019 a vision was formed to support mainstream American Saddlebred horse shows across the country and offer a “Crown Jewel” for this core market.
