Tamara Tucker joins the Board of Equine Sports Council as Secretary & General Counsel

Equine Sports Council, a nonprofit horse show support organization, is very pleased to announce that Tamara Tucker has joined our Board of Directors as Secretary of the Board and General Counsel. Tamara will oversee the organization’s legal affairs, including the resolution process for rule violations.

Tamara Tucker practices law in Virginia and South Carolina in the areas of business litigation, insurance defense, equine law, and appellate law. She attended Mary Washington College where she rode on the varsity Equestrian Team. Tammy then went on to law school at the University of South Carolina, graduating in 1994.  She regularly represents clients in state and federal courts as well as in arbitration and administrative settings. She is rated AV® Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.  

Tammy and her husband, Bill, live on a small farm outside Charlottesville, Virginia with their three horses, cats, and a Bernese Mountain Dog. She has ridden and shown horses in the hunter/jumper discipline for over forty years.  For several years, Tammy ran a large equestrian center in Virginia, including the management of a monthly VHSA Associate horse show series. During that time, she also served as President of the Battlefield Horse Show Association and as a member of the Board of Directors for the Hazelwild Farm Educational Foundation.
