The Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association joins the ESC Network of Horse Shows
Equine Sports Council is very honored to have the Illinois American Saddlebred Pleasure Horse Association (IASPHA) join our horse show network. IASPHA started in 1973 with one pleasure horse show, and now hosts three shows with multiple affiliated horse shows that all earn credits towards end of year Champion and Reserve high point awards. For over 40 years IASPHA has been very successful in realizing its goals, and is one of the largest American Saddlebred charter clubs in the nation with a very active membership. Tamara Tucker Bio
Tamara Tucker has ridden and shown horses in the hunter/jumper discipline for over forty years. She grew up showing on the local Virginia Beach Horse Show Association circuit, winning top year-end awards in the hunter and equitation divisions for many years. She was trained by her mother, Nancy Dooley, whose solid equitation background came from growing up in Connecticut and riding with notable equitation trainers, including Victor Hugo-Vidal. Tammy attended Mary Washington College where she rode on the varsity Equestrian Team, winning high point rider awards numerous times and finishing in the top five at IHSA Nationals in 1989. The Monarch National Championship joins the ESC Network, with 50+ Shows Offering Qualifying Classes
Over 50+ shows have joined the Monarch Series to date. Equine Sports Council’s mission – to provide rules, standards, support and promotion for horse shows across the country – closely mirrors the Monarch mission and we are thrilled that their National Championship has joined the ESC Network. In 2019 a vision was formed to support mainstream American Saddlebred horse shows across the country and offer a “Crown Jewel” for this core market. This concept resulted in the Monarch Series, now with over 55 qualifying shows offered all across the United States. F.A.S.H Horse Show Joins ESC Network & Announces 2020 Judging Panel
Friends of the American Saddle Horse (F.A.S.H.) one of the largest annual horse shows held in St. Paul, Minnesota joins Equine Sports Council’s Network for 2020. F.A.S.H. show manager Stephanie Peterson made the announcement last month as she notified the selected judging panel.

Supreme Court of Virgina Administrative Law Judges with Equine Knowledge will Serve as ESC Hearing Officers
Equine Sports Council, and each show within our network are committed to providing a competition environment that promotes good sportsmanship, fair competition, and the highest standards of horsemanship. The welfare of the horse and the safety of exhibitors is paramount. To ensure a fair hearing process with the utmost integrity, ESC Co-Founders with their Legal Counsel have established the following process. DESIGNATED HEARING OFFICERS: Administrative Law Judges experienced in equine sports, and licensed under the Supreme Court of Virginia will serve as Hearing Officers for horse show exhibitors suspected of Conduct or Drug violations at an ESC governed event. Equine Sports Council (ESC) is pleased to announce that Mark Staehnke has joined ESC as an advisor. Mark has been involved in Morgan Horses for most of his life. As most know, Merriehill Farm has for decades been a major factor in breeding, showing and promoting Morgans with innumerable Regional, Grand National and World Champions developed at Merriehill. Mark has a long record of personal involvement having served as a Regional Director and Vice President of Finance of the American Morgan Horse Association, President and Treasurer of the American Morgan Horse Institute and over a decade as a Member of and Chairman of the USEF Morgan Rules Committee. Tamara Tucker joins the Board of Equine Sports Council as Secretary & General Counsel
Equine Sports Council, a nonprofit horse show support organization, is very pleased to announce that Tamara Tucker has joined our Board of Directors as Secretary of the Board and General Counsel. Tamara will oversee the organization’s legal affairs, including the resolution process for rule violations. Tamara Tucker practices law in Virginia and South Carolina in the areas of business litigation, insurance defense, equine law, and appellate law. Lori has over 16 years’ experience in equestrian governance and brings a wealth of knowledge to our organization. Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous supporter, Lori is working on our General Rules development, followed by Breed/Discipline rules, and will be the primary contact for shows that want to affiliate with our organization for governance and support. Involved in the show horse industry for over 40 years, Shane Darnell has shown under the direction of Taylor River Farm for the last 15 years, achieving numerous Amateur World Titles in the Western, Hunt and English Pleasure divisions. Shane has served on the board for the American Morgan Horse Education Charitable Trust.
